Powering the last mile or hard to reach the rural areas in Somalia are hard to electrify due to lack of infrastructure and financing institutes. However, this shortcoming hasn’t held us back, we have introduced innovative financing, such as Goat4kWh first its kind in the world, where we exchange goats (asset) as a down payment or payoff option for nomads and farmers to finance our solar home system for electrifying their homes, irrigation wells, or small enterprises. We use donkeys and boats to power heard to reach communities.
